About

¡Hola! My name is Elizabeth, though friends call me Eli. (Pronounced like the U.S. Ellie.)

According to reliable sources, I started “telling” stories long before I could talk. To this day, no one knows the content of those lost masterpieces. But it only made sense that I grew up to attend Bethel University (IN) where I earned a BA in English with an emphasis in writing. There I discovered a passion for editing.

Since graduation, I have worked with a writing and editing mentor, taken editing courses through The PEN Institute, joined Jaime Jo Wright’s MadLit Mentoring program, and attended workshops and writers’ conferences with the goal of further honing these skills.

Regardless of the time period or setting, I pen stories steeped in mystery and dusted with romance, while striving to create beacons in the darkness. I’m currently working on what I hope will become a series with a investigative journalist heroine.

I am a member of MadLit’s Raven Critique Group and WAN (Writer’s Accountability Network).

Though I attended university in the United States, I am from Spain and also have lived in Israel. Some of my hobbies include watching movies, cooking, and learning Hebrew.
